Hi, I’m Zander Dent — a Civil Engineering student at UBC and Software Engineering Intern at SRF Consulting. I’m passionate about bridging infrastructure and code to build smarter cities, automating traffic data analysis, running AutoCAD compliance checks, and streamlining workflows so teams can focus on innovation.
When I’m not at SRF, I lead VibeOps, creating AI-powered automation and websites for small businesses. My past projects include building follow-up bots at Effortlo, modernizing GIS inspection platforms for the City of Minnetonka, driving AI product development at PromptAntics, and contributing to sustainable engineering with Engineers Without Borders.
VibeOps.ca is a collective of engineers and developers specializing in custom web, automation, and engineering solutions. We build pixel-perfect, high-converting websites and mobile experiences, crafted for speed, style, and results. From landing pages to full-stack web apps, we deliver modern, responsive, and lightning-fast solutions for teams that ship fast, flex hard, and vibe always.
Developed as part of the CIVL 303 Preliminary Design project at UBC (Group 14), this interactive Gantt chart visualizes the timeline and key milestones for a proposed civil engineering design. The chart allows users to explore project phases, such as site mobilization and infrastructure installation, with clickable elements for additional details.

GIS Infrastructure Mapping & Inspection
As a Civil Engineering Intern at the City of Minnetonka, I played a key role in modernizing infrastructure inspection workflows using GIS-based mapping systems. By enhancing data accuracy and streamlining planning processes, this project significantly improved the efficiency of storm and sanitary system assessments.
Project: GIS Infrastructure Inspection & Mapping
Skills Used: ArcGIS, Data Analysis, Infrastructure Assessment, Civil Engineering
Impact: Conducted and documented 1,000+ inspections, improving municipal planning efficiency.
Description: Developed GIS-powered maps to visualize infrastructure conditions, facilitating data-driven decision-making for city planners.

Road Closure Visualization & AI Chatbot
As part of a separate initiative, I developed a proof-of-concept road closure website for the City of Minnetonka. The interactive platform allowed users to explore evolving road closures through a draggable timeline, enhancing real-time accessibility. Additionally, an AI chatbot was integrated to provide instant responses on alternative routes and closure details.
AQL Nexus by PromptAntics
